Walrus
How cute is this little waist coat?
With the textured detail and perfect fit.
The Walrus (ravelry link) is part of The Stichin Witch’s ‘Through the Knitting Glass: Patterns inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ book.
This was a pleasure to knit. And easy to adapt for different body shapes.
Jens patterns are easy to follow, nicely laid out and offers a lot of support.
And the optional pocket details is cute!
Due to this being knit flat and seamed it was easy to make some changes to fit my body perfectly.
I knit for a 49″ full bust, with 21″ back half and 28″ front half (side seam to side seam)
Thus I made the size XXL for the back (40″ finished size) and size 3XL for the front (50″ finished size)
The only real adjustment I had to make was to continue decreasing the neck on the front so that the stitch counts matched at the shoulder.
The only further adjustment I’d make to this is to shorten the back so it sits at the top of my hip.
