Sprocket
Sparkles & Mini’s!!
This sweater is cute, and always brings a smile to my face to wear.
This is the Sprocket Sweater by Pip & Pin (Website)
I used part of an advent for the mini’s and a beautiful sparkle based yarn for the body.
I’m always weary of circular yokes and getting them to fit right. If I was to make this again I’d split things differently so that there were more stitches in the front, not many but just enough to give some extra room.
I choose the folded collar/cuff/hem option. Pattern includes instructions for ribbed as well.
This is a great little pattern for using up mini’s, or scraps/left overs of other projects. I didn’t use more than 1 mini per colour for the size 4XL.
I didn’t make any changes! This was knit straight from pattern and had enough ease at the upper arm I didn’t have to change a thing (that’s normally where I’d have to make adjustments, along with the full bust)
I’m wearing it with a little over 2″ positive ease. and it’s amazing.
The only thing I’d add next time is some bust shaping. Other wise this one is straight from the book.
I did struggle to get gauge on this and had to knit the full body on 2.25mm needles, which was a bit of a labour of love but worth it.
