Rune
So I picked my yarn, again choosing a Mamawooling yarn, this time in 5ply. I’d fallen in love with ‘True’ as a colour and asked very nicely if she would mind dying me up a lovely pink to go with it. And Sarah came through! That pink is amazing.
This would also be a great project for using up any left overs from another project. I only used 30g for the colour work.
I don’t knit a lot of stranded colour work, mostly because I haven’t had the practice, and the thought of working my way through a full yoke to find my tension is all wonky because of it sounds like a waste of knitting time.
But when Rune by Dragon Hoard Yarns came up for testing I jumped at it.
With a simple colour work section in the lower arm that was a much easier amount to tackle, and rip back and knit if it didn’t go right.
Once we got the pattern for testing I genuinely cried happy tears here was the first pattern I’d seen in a long time that I wasn’t going to have to make any adjustments at all to. I could just knit from the pattern as written without having to sit down and do any maths first. I was beyond happy.
