Mary Raglan

All over lace, cropped, WITH BUST SHAPPING! Oh my.

Mary Raglan is another test knit I jumped on when it came across my feed.

This beauty is elegant and dressy and perfect for lazy days at home.

Worked bottom up, with an easy to remember lace repeat this was a pleasure to work on and test.
I have to admit I was a little nervous about the bust shaping in all over lace to start with but the pattern is so well written and the pattern support is top notch that you wont go wrong.

I used a lovely BFL DK dyed by Purple Spouting in colourway ‘Spice up your life’
I love working with BFL. I find it’s a great every day wearing yarn.

I knit the size 6 body (52″ finished fit, for 50″ bust) , with size 7 sleeves (19″ finished fit for 17″ biceps) with cup size 3 bust shaping. This is approx. the middle size in the sizing range for this garment.

My only real advice, work the sleeves 2 at a time if you are able, so you get them identical or take really good notes as you decrease through the lace.

Finished Size

Body – Size 6 – 52″ / 132cm
Sleeve – size 7 – 19″ / 48cm
Body Length – as per pattern

Yarn used: 1575m / 700g
